Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

MailChimp for WooCommerce

When shopping, MailChimp for WooCommerce keep a record of your email and the cart contents for up to 30 days on our server. This record is kept to repopulate the contents of your cart if you switch devices or needed to come back another day. Read their privacy policy here.

WooCommerce Services

Data Used: For payments with PayPal purchase total, currency, billing information. For taxes: the value of goods in the cart, value of shipping, destination address. For checkout rates: destination address, purchased product IDs, dimensions, weight, and quantities. For shipping labels: customer’s name, address as well as the dimensions, weight, and quantities of purchased products.

Data Synced: For payments, WooCommerce send the purchase total, currency and customer’s billing information to the respective payment processor. Please see the respective third party’s privacy policy (PayPal’s Privacy Policy) for more details.

Data we need when you make an order

Regardless to the method of payment chosen, we will need your name, address, contact number and email to able to deliver your order.  If your order is intended for a third party, we will need the same details for the person to whom the order is being made for.  In this case, the third party will be notified that we have their details solely for delivery of the order.  They will receive a notification with the delivery of the goods.

Why we need this information

These details are required for us to be able to process your order.  Your contact details will be used in the case of issues with your order or in the case that any clarification is required.

How long we retain your data

In the case of online orders, we are required by Maltese Law to keep records of transactions for ten years, , after which all soft copies are shredded and electronically stored details on our website backend are deleted.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
